Mohammad Abboud, MD

A graduate of Rutgers NJ Medical School and a 2021 graduate of the Temple EM residency training program. During his residency training Mohammad has lectured to our residents and faculty on a number of topics including, emergency intubation guided by US, outpatient management of PE, penetrating extremity trauma as well as targeted temperature management in the post cardiac arrest patient.
Matthew Berger, MD
Fellow, Ultrasound
A graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina and a 2021 graduate of the Temple EM residency training program. While at Temple, Matt was awarded “Save of the Month” twice, October 2019 and November 2020. Matt also co-authored a textbook chapter on shoulder reduction techniques. He has also served as an instructor for medical student US training as well as central line training for EM interns. He has also presented at our residency conference on the use of US in the diagnosis of PE.
Claire Schaffer, MD
Fellow, Ultrasound
A graduate of the LKSOM and a 2021 graduate of the Temple EM residency training program. Clare also participated as an US instructor for the medical students as well as central line training for the EM interns. She is also the Resident Director of the residency’s programs journal club. Clare has authored a number of blog posts on US topics and other clinical topics such as community acquired pneumonia. In addition to a number of residency conference presentations she has a poster presented at the 2019 AAEM Scientific Assembly and National CPC semi-final and final presentations in 2019.
